Police Chief James McIntyre and Fire Chief Matthew Grafton report that the Stoneham Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian Saturday evening.
On Saturday, April 2, at approximately 6 p.m., Stoneham Police and Fire Departments and Cataldo Ambulance responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the area of 113 Hill St.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2011 Ford Edge struck a pedestrian in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 113 Hill St. A female pedestrian suffered injuries that appeared to be serious and was taken to a Boston hospital by Cataldo Ambulance.
The driver of the Ford Edge remained at the scene and is cooperating with an ongoing investigation. The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section is assisting the investigation.
